London, UK Jan 15th 2010, Director of AutoAlert Ltd, Richard Harris urges business leaders and travellers to use an easy, inexpensive tracking device for greater efficiency and security when travelling by train.

Delayed and confused after snow had caused numerous train cancellations, Richard used his AutoAlert tracking application to get back on track.

The efficiency and ease of travelling by British Rail might be questionable at the best of times but after snow fall and freezing temperatures when the country seems, inexplicably, to grind to a halt, it's not easy.

Director of AutoAlert Ltd, Richard Harris was travelling to Nottingham by train after the January snow when he realised he was sitting on a train lost.

"After the snow, there were a number of cancellations," explained Richard. "I wasn't sure where I was which was a bit nerve racking at times."

Fortunately, he was able to use his AutoAlert on his iPhone to see where he was and provide the location to the person he was meeting so they could track his progress.

"As I don't use the train that often," Richard added, "I wasn't sure I was even on the right line."

From his AutoAlert system, he realised he was on a different train and the device alerted and informed him he needed to change at Grantham.

His contact therefore knew what train he would be on so could come and collect him from Nottingham .

It's simple, inexpensive and easy to use and a fantastic tool for anyone from business people to domestic travellers to use. With AutoAlert, whether travelling by rail or road, there's no need to ever get lost again.
